He has been an invited faculty in most of the prestigious Skull Base & Otolaryngological events across the globe including the World Congress of the Federation of Skull Base Societies, Meetings of the World Federation of Neurosurgical Societies, World Congress of the International Federation of Otolaryngological Societies (IFOS), Politzer Society meeting, European Skull Base Society Congress, The European Otology & Neurotology Congress, The International Acoustic Neuroma Congress, The European ORL Congress (CEORLHNS), International Cholesteatoma Congress, The Annual Conferences of the Association of Otolaryngologists of India, Indian Academy of Otolaryngology Head & Neck Surgery and the Indian Skull Base Societies. He has won prizes for paper presentations in many prestigious International Congresses including the Politzer Society Meeting in 2013 and the BACO fellowship. He was the member of the Skull Base Committee of the American Academy of Otolaryngology Head and Neck Surgeons (2015-17). In 2018, he delivered the prestigious GS Grewal Oration at the Annual National ENT conference of the Association of Otolaryngologist of India.

The Lateral Skull Base Fellowship Diploma to be held in 2018 includes 90 topics, 72 hours of dissections, 60 hours of lectures & 12 hours of video sessions. The Diploma has received an overwhelming response and is showing signs of a long journey.

Dr. Rao was invited as a faculty in the annual conference of the Indian Neurotology & Equilibriometric Society held recently at Jodhpur. He was the operating faculty where he operated on a giant Vestibular Schwannoma. He was the chief demonstrator in the cadaveric dissection workshop where he demonstrated multiple lateral skull base approaches. He also delivered a keynote address on 'conquering the petrous apex: the final frontier'.

Dr. Rao was an invited faculty at the 27th Annual Conference of the Indian Society of Otology (ISOCON) from 16th to 18th November 2018. He delivered a Key Note Lecture on ‘Management of Internal Carotid Artery in Skull Base Surgery’, ‘Management of Vestibular Schwannomas, and was a Moderator for the Young Otologist Session.
World Skull Base Fellowship Diploma in Lateral Skull Base Surgery, module 3, Bangalore, India

The World Skull Base Fellowship Diplomas will be held in Lateral and Anterior Skull Base Surgery every alternating year at Ramiah Advanced Learning Center, Bangalore. The 3 module format has been developed to incorporate all topics in the subspecialty along with cadaveric hands on dissections. The Lateral Skull Base Fellowship Diploma to be held in 2018 includes 90 topics, 72 hours of dissections, 60 hours of lectures & 12 hours of video sessions. The Diploma has received an overwhelming response and is showing signs of a long journey.

Dr. Rao was an invited faculty at the 40th Turkish ENT Congress at Antalya from 7th to 11th November 2018. It was his 4th visit to Turkey as faculty and second in Antalya. He had an Educative Dissection Course on Internal Carotid Artery in Skull Base Surgery, Guest Lecture on Paragangliomas of the Skull Base and Round Table on Management of Petrous Bone Cholesteatomas.

Dr. Rao was invited to the 8th cochlear implant workshop at BSMMU, Dhaka that included live surgeries, lectures and social events. It was the 3rd worlshop in a row at Dhaka. The highlight of the event was live surgical demonstration of a CI with Subtotal Petrosectomy, one of the 1st of its kind in Bangladesh

National Neurotology & Equilibriometric Society Conference, 2018

Dr. Rao was invited as a faculty in the annual conference of the Indian Neurotology & Equilibriometric Society held recently at Jodhpur. He was the operating faculty where he operated on a giant Vestibular Schwannoma. He was the chief demonstrator in the cadaveric dissection workshop where he demonstrated multiple lateral skull base approaches. He also delivered a keynote address on 'conquering the petrous apex: the final frontier'.

World Skull Base Faculty Dr. Sampath Chandra Prasad Rao was invited as an international faculty and delivered the Dr GS Grewal Memorial Oration at the 70th Annual Conference of the Association of Otolaryngologists of India, AOICON 2018 that was held from 4th to 7th January 2018 at Indore, India. He is one of the youngest Indians to be delivering the Oration. He also delivered 2 other keynote lectures during the conference.
